Privacy policy

This policy explains how Skills Pragati, India ("we", "us") handles personal data on skillspragati.com. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name and e-mail address, when you create an account or buy a plan.
  • Purchase records: the plan you bought, its dates, amount and status, and the reference numbers from our payment partner. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI ID or bank details.
  • Learning progress: the course videos you watched on our site (how far you played them, or that you marked them as watched), the hands-on labs and practice sections you completed with their Exam-mode scores, your mock exam answers and scores, certificates, and the dates you studied. We use it only to show your progress, exam readiness and weekly streak in My Learning, and, in aggregate, to see which lessons help learners most. It is linked to your account, never shared or sold, and deleted with your account on request.
  • Messages: what you send us when you contact support.
  • Technical data: the website is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site.

Why we use it

  • to give you access to what you paid for, and to manage renewals and cancellations;
  • to save your progress and show your scores;
  • to send service e-mails (receipts, renewal reminders, important changes) and answer your questions;
  • to keep the Service secure and prevent misuse;
  • to meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell or rent personal data.

AI study assistant

Subscribers can ask questions in "Ask Skills Pragati", and visitors can try 2 free questions after verifying their e-mail address (which also creates a free sign-in account). To answer, we send your question, the last few messages of that chat and matching excerpts from our own course material to Anthropic, the maker of the Claude AI model, which processes them to write the answer. No personal details are needed to use it, so please do not type any. We do not store your questions or the answers: we keep only a short, filtered topic (the first few words, with e-mail addresses and numbers removed), the date, and the amount used, so we can apply the daily limit (30 questions a day) and see which topics learners need help with. The chat itself stays in your browser tab. AI answers can be wrong; each one links to the course source so you can check it.

Visitor statistics

To know how many people visit, we count page views and daily unique visitors. A visitor is counted with a one-way code made from the network address and browser type of that day; the address itself is not stored and the code changes every day, so visits cannot be linked over time. We also keep the referring website's name (for example youtube.com) and the country. No cookie is used for this.

Cookies and browser storage

  • A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. A preview cookie is used only by the site owner to view pages before they open.
  • Your theme choice and some practice progress are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device.
  • We do not use advertising cookies.

YouTube

Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers. Embedded players use youtube-nocookie.com (privacy-enhanced mode) and load only when you press play. Watching on YouTube is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Who we share it with

  • Razorpay, to process payments and subscriptions;
  • Cloudflare, to host and protect the website and store learning data;
  • our e-mail provider, to send service e-mails;
  • Anthropic, to answer questions asked in the AI study assistant (see above);
  • authorities, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep account and progress data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it within 30 days, except purchase records, which we keep as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, by e-mailing support@skillspragati.com from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.

Children

The Service is meant for adults. Users under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will e-mail subscribers about important changes.
